SweetStacks made its 3rd appearance at the annual Taste of Pacific Islands on July 30, 2008. The annual fundraising event is to benefit PIFA's (Pacific Islander's Festival Association) Scholarship Program to assist Pacific Islander youth with financing their education. SweetStacks donated its signature Banana Donuts and Latiza. Both are Guamanian desserts.

Delicious and authentic Pacific Islander food was served while enjoying wonderful Pacific Island entertainment, dancing and music. Pacific Islander menu favorites provided by local San Diego restaurants. Entertainment was provided by Heali'i's Polynesian Revue.
