SweetStacks on Fox 6 San Diego Living Show - Feb 29, 2008

On February 29, 2008 I had the exciting and thrilling opportunity to talk about how we (SweetStacks) make pancakes on Television on the Fox 6 San Diego Living Show. The theme was 'Pancakes aren't just for breakfast anymore!' It was blast to cook with host Rubin and we had a lot of fun. My mom and I prepared several dishes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert to showcase on the show.

SweetStacks was contacted by Taste of the South magazine to be featured in the Gourmet Food Mall advertisement for one of their issues.  The Gourmet Food Mall features only 5 select vendors from their eCommerce site in Taste of the South magazine and we were thrilled to be one of the select 5!  Taste of the South magazine celebrates the heritage of food in the South and invites readers to enjoy the region's distinct offerings.  Each issue offers over 60 Southern recipes; profiles of unique Southern companies, restaurants, and chefs; along with their recipes for success in the kitchen. Taste of the South magazine averages over 100,000 copies sold annually and has over 70,000 subscription members.  Interesting demographics about their loyal readers include:  93% of their readers are women, average age is 54 years, 53% of readers are 50 years or younger.  This is a great opportunity for us to get more exposure around the country so we're honored to be featured in the ad.  Our advertisement will be in Taste of the South's Easter Holiday Issue 2008 (February/March 2008 issue) and the April/May 2008 issue.  Taste of the South magazine can be found at Target, Borders, Barnes and Noble, Costco, Walmart and most grocery stores and pharmacies.

SweetStacks was approached by the Gourmet Food Mall (Home of Gourmet Food, Specialty Food, and Gourmet Gift Baskets) with a strong interest in adding our Gourmet Pancake Mix to their eCommerce site.  We gladly accepted as The Gourmet Food Mall is a very popular shopping website for Gourmet Food Shoppers.  The Gourmet Food Mall was also recommended by Oprah for last minute online gift shopping so this is a great opportunity for more exposure and visibility for our company. SweetStacks participated in the 13th Annual Pacific Islander Festival (PIFA) on September 22 - 23, 2007 at Ski Beach, Mission Bay in San Diego.  It is an event we hold dear to our hearts as we are Pacific Islanders from Guam.  As always it is a wonderful event to celebrate our culture, our people, our traditions, our delicious foods, and the values of the Indigenous People of Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia.
